Abstract : Unirazak Library |
In Malaysia, entrepreneurship plays a significant role in economic growth. Since 2007, initiatives have been made to develop entrepreneurial programmes at higher institutional levels. The program's goal is to inspire students and future graduates to pursue entrepreneurship. This is because, by 2020, the economy of the nation will resemble that of an industrialised nation. Additionally, entrepreneurship programmes can keep graduates from becoming jobless after graduation. Early application in the field of entrepreneurship is necessary because students play a crucial role in applying to and developing their careers, particularly in that industry. At the vocational college level, there are various variables that motivate students to try their hand at entrepreneurship. As a result, the goal of this study is to pinpoint the determinants of entrepreneurial student trends at Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UNIMAP) in the state of Perlis. Engineering students from the Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UNIMAP) were the subjects of this investigation. 150 students participated in the study as a whole. In order to gather data for this study's quantitative methodologies, respondents were given questionnaires, which were then used as primary sources. Utilizing the Statistical Package for Social Science, the data was examined (SPSS version 27.0). The results demonstrate a positive association between background, motivation, attitude, and entrepreneurial abilities with entrepreneurship. In conclusion, the research demonstrates that engineering students at Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UNIMAP) concur that their background, motivation, attitude, and entrepreneurial abilities have an impact on their propensity to pursue entrepreneurship. |
