The study, "Overcoming Challenges to Promote Sustainable Fashion for a Greener Future: A Case Study of Klang Valley," dives deep into the barriers hindering sustainable fashion in one of Malaysia's most vibrant regions. While the fashion sector remains a significant environmental polluter, this research highlights key findings on consumer and industry challenges towards adopting sustainable practices. It reveals a notable gap in awareness and responsiveness towards sustainable fashion among consumers and traders, emphasizing the critical role of education and policy reform. The study also explores the potential of the circular economy model to revolutionize industry practices by addressing overconsumption, resource scarcity, and the social and environmental impacts of fast fashion. By proposing strategic interventions, this research aims to catalyze a shift towards more sustainable fashion practices, offering valuable insights for policymakers, industry stakeholders, and the academic community to foster environmental responsibility within the fashion industry globally |
