Abstract : UNIRAZAK Library |
Malaysia automotive-related business enterprises were encountering significant obstacles in response to the profound impact of COVID-19 and the implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO). The global pandemic has resulted supply chain disruption in manufacturing networks, ultimately leading to shortages of essential components. This research is conducted to get a comprehensive understanding of how global supply chain practises are operationalized and put into practise within the setting of the Malaysian automotive industry. Some Malaysian automotive industry players were interviewed in a way that was kind of like a questionnaire. A thorough literature review that was done before the study added to this research. The MCO stressed how important it is for Malaysia's automotive industry to have a more resilient and diverse supply chain. Businesses changed and put more emphasis on teamwork and digital solutions to lessen the effects of outages. How well supply chain problems were handled depended on how ready the industry was and what the government's policies were. In the future, proactive steps will be needed to make sure that the supply chain system is stable and flexible. The MCO's experience showed how much the industry relies on customer-centric methods and global trends. |
