This thesis examines the impact of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices on the financial performance of Ras Lanuf Oil and Gas Processing Company (RASCO). Through quantitative analysis of survey responses from 47 employees across various departments, the research aimed to elucidate the individual and collective influence of ESG components on financial outcomes. Descriptive statistics indicated a workforce with diverse experiences, with a significant portion having over 15 years of tenure. The individual linear regression analyses revealed that both environmental and social practices have a positive correlation with financial performance, whereas governance practices showed a weaker connection. When combined in a multiple regression analysis, the ESG factors collectively accounted for nearly 30% of the variance in financial performance, with social practices being the most significant predictor. These findings underscore the importance of integrating ESG considerations into corporate strategy and operations. The research contributes to the growing body of literature on sustainable business practices and offers valuable insights for RASCO and similar companies in the oil and gas sector. Recommendations include the reinforcement of social and environmental policies and a re-evaluation of governance structures to enhance financial performance. |
