Abstract : UNIRAZAK Library |
The purpose of the research is to investigate the impact of narcissistic leadership on employee productivity in Malaysia, with the objective of discovering the extent to which narcissistic leadership traits and behaviours influence employee productivity. The study focuses on measuring the direct impact of narcissistic traits in leadership on staff productivity, using a questionnaire survey approach executed across several industries and companies in Malaysia's Klang Valley area. The study focuses on staff productivity, employee motivation, and narcissistic traits in leadership as major variables. The target population comprises employees from several industries in the Klang Valley, offering a broad representation that is critical for a thorough understanding of the consequences of narcissistic traits in leadership across different organisational contexts and degrees of authority. The Klang Valley was selected as the study location because of its accessibility as well as closeness to the researcher. Using a convenience sampling survey approach, 137 questionnaires were successfully gathered from workers across various sectors. The acquired data were analysed using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) software to validate the measurement model and test hypotheses. The findings show a strong positive association between narcissistic traits in leadership and staff productivity, emphasising the importance of leadership conduct in affecting employee productivity. |
