Abstract : UNIRAZAK Library
The purpose of this research is to explore how transformational, transactional, and laissez-faire leadership patterns affect the Public Service Department employees’ intent to quit PSD Services Division in Malaysia. This is the reason it seeks to is address a research gap in the Malaysian public sector and it also recognises that organisational commitment is important in productivity improvements. By conducting an online quantitative survey with 160 PSD participants to measure the level of organizational commitment and the level of transformational leadership the study shows that indeed, transformational leadership does have a positive relationship with organizational commitment. Hence, the implications are that when implemented, the transformational leadership behaviours enhance commitment within PSD’s Service Division; these are the theoretical and practical implications arising from the findings of this research for the public administration personnel and the policymakers.
