Abstract : UNIRAZAK Library
The planet must be sustainable in the future. The global economy depends heavily on international shipping, and as this industry becomes closer to door-to-door. Strategic planning for its sustainability becomes more crucial and difficult. There is little current study on shipping strategy planning for sustainability. To find out if the current strategic planning promotes sustainability in international shipping, this study uses content analysis and an organised literature review. To determine whether marine logistics’ strategic planning promotes sustainability, a thorough analysis of the field is also carried out. The most strategic planning in shipping is restricted to “port-to-port,” according to key results no (1). (2) The strategic planning initiatives for maritime sustainability are dispersed. (3) Although it is a field of ongoing research, maritime logistics falls behind in terms of strategic planning. (4) There is now a proactive initiative to promote sustainable or green maritime logistics. (5) Among the research gaps are the differences between “sustainable, “as well as the absence of a suitable methodology, research-practice networks that collaborate, and an adequate approach to strategic planning for sustainability in international shipping. The results point to future research directions that should be pursued to make international shipping more sustainable.
