Abstract : UNIRAZAK Library
This study examines the operational, financial, technology and strategic impacts of electric vehicles (EVs) on Malaysia's traditional automotive industry. Motivated by the global push for sustainable transportation, the research aims to guide policymakers and industry stakeholders in facilitating the EV transition, ensuring sustainability and competitiveness. The study fills a knowledge gap by providing empirical evidence on EV adoption's practical, economic, and strategic effects in Malaysia. A quantitative approach was used, with surveys distributed to 250 participants in the Malaysian automotive industry, yielding 250 usable responses. Data analysis via SPSS identified significant correlations between technology adoption, operational changes, financial planning, and strategic direction with EV adoption. Findings emphasize the crucial role of technological advancements, like battery efficiency and charging infrastructure, operational adjustments, and financial planning in successful EV adoption. The study recommends comprehensive policies, including financial incentives, infrastructure development, and public awareness campaigns, to support EV adoption.
