| The purpose of this study is to investigate the current status of the Xiamen University Malaysia Library (XMUM Library) and to propose a selection of strategies for improving its services in order to meet the demands of the university community. Background study has identified the library's issues, which include service promotion, increased patron usage, and facility improvement. The research objective is to investigate possible strategies for improving the library's efficiency and user experience. The research questions concentrate on three major areas: library promotion, patron usage enhancement, and facility improvement for future expansion. Through literature analysis and questionnaire surveys, library patron needs and potential barriers have been identified. The study's population consists of XMUM library patrons, including university students, faculty, and staff members. From the participants, 238 sets of questionnaires have been gathered. And the study focused on how the Xiamen University Malaysia Library's resources, services, and infrastructure work together to increase library patron utilization. Finally, a number of recommendations are proposed, including increased Xiamen University Malaysia campus community engagement, improved resource utilization, and facility enhancements. The implementation of these strategies will help transform XMUM Library into a vibrant knowledge hub, promoting academic excellence and enriching the university experience. |
