This study investigates the influences of leadership, teamwork, and workplace environment on employee performance in Assunta Hospital, Malaysia. The significance of employee contributions to organisational success underscores the importance of understanding and optimising factors that enhance productivity and job satisfaction. Drawing upon theoretical frameworks and empirical research, this study employs a descriptive research methodology to comprehensively examine the interrelationships between leadership styles, teamwork dynamics, workplace environment quality, and employee performance. The research objectives include identifying the levels of leadership, teamwork, and workplace environment among Assunta Hospital employees, comparing mean differences across genders, and exploring correlations with employee performance. A sample of 260 participants, including personnel managers, department heads, directors, and staff at all levels, was randomly selected for data collection through structured questionnaires. Data analysis techniques involve percentages, frequency distribution, and Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 29 to analyse primary data. The study's findings will inform Assunta Hospital management on strategies to enhance leadership, teamwork, and workplace environment to improve employee performance. Additionally, the research contributes to the scholarly discourse on organisational effectiveness and human resource management practices, providing insights for future studies in similar contexts. The study's significance extends beyond Assunta Hospital, offering valuable insights and measures for other private hospitals in Malaysia and serving as a resource for future scholars in the field. This study aims to advance understanding and foster a culture of cooperation and productivity in healthcare settings by addressing the research questions and objectives. |
