his study examines the factors influencing Chinese university students' learning engagement in smart classroom environments. Utilizing the Triadic Interaction Determination Theory and the Learning Engagement Continuum Model, a framework is constructed to analyze individual, behavioral, and environmental factors. A 35-item questionnaire survey is conducted to assess students' learning engagement and influencing factors within smart classrooms. The findings reveal that while emotional engagement is high, cognitive engagement is relatively low, indicating a need for improved selfmonitoring and regulation among students. The research also shows that environmental factors significantly impact learning engagement, highlighting the importance of smart classroom design. Demographic variables such as the type of smart classroom and class frequency are found to affect engagement levels. Strategies to enhance cognitive engagement and the overall effectiveness of smart classrooms are proposed, including improving self-efficacy, strengthening smart classroom construction, transforming knowledge into wisdom, and fostering deeper interactions. The study contributes to the optimization of smart classrooms in higher education and the development of smart education initiatives. |
