Abstract : UNIRAZAK Library
This research investigates the impact of workforce development strategies on service quality within Malaysia's oil and gas industry. The study focuses on four key areas: economic incentives, recruitment practices, training programs, and educational background. Through a structured quantitative approach, data was collected from industry professionals to explore how these variables influence service delivery. Findings reveal that recruitment practices, training programs, and educational background significantly enhance service quality, while economic incentives did not show a direct impact. Specifically, targeted recruitment practices and well-structured training programs were found to equip employees with the necessary skills for high-performance service delivery. Educational background also emerged as a critical factor, highlighting the need for specialized industry-relevant qualifications to maintain service excellence. Conversely, economic incentives, though valuable for employee retention, were not identified as a major driver of service quality improvement. These results suggest that organizations should prioritize non-monetary workforce strategies, such as recruitment and training, to elevate service standards. The study contributes to understanding how different workforce strategies can optimize service quality, offering valuable insights for HR practices in high-risk industries like oil and gas. Further research is recommended to explore long-term impacts and industry-specific applications.
