Abstract : UNIRAZAK Library
The primary aim of this study was to determine the impact of job satisfaction on employee turnover intention among public educators in the Federal Territory of Putrajaya, Malaysia. Turnover intention was characterized as behavior, as individuals act based on their satisfaction with their current job, deciding whether to stay or leave depending on the available options. The study also sought to assess the extent to which the relationship between job satisfaction and turnover intention was moderated by factors such as work-life balance, job security, career growth, reward and recognition, and emotional intelligence of employees in the public education sector. A non-probability sampling approach was employed, with respondents selected based on specific demographic factors or ease of access. Convenient sampling, a method of non-probability sampling, was used to collect data efficiently. A total of 201 questionnaires were developed and distributed to public educators in the Federal Territory of Putrajaya. The data gathered was analyzed using SPSS software to conduct statistical analysis and determine if there were significant differences between the variables. Turnover was perceived as a potential barrier, and further research was recommended to explore its connection with other factors, such as organizational culture, training and development opportunities, and workplace safety, all of which could have a significant impact on reducing turnover intentions.
