This study explores how Hofstede’s cultural dimensions impact the job performance of white-collar employees in Klang Valley, Malaysia. Focusing on six key dimensions—Power Distance, Individualism vs. Collectivism, Masculinity vs. Femininity, Uncertainty Avoidance, Long-Term vs. Short-Term Orientation, and Indulgence vs. Restraint—the research investigates how these cultural factors affect employee productivity, job satisfaction, and engagement in a multicultural work environment. A quantitative approach was used, gathering survey data from white-collar employees across diverse industries in Klang Valley. The analysis found significant links between certain cultural dimensions and job performance, with Uncertainty Avoidance and Long-Term Orientation emerging as key factors. Power Distance showed varied effects depending on organizational hierarchy and structure. The findings offer practical guidance for business leaders and policymakers, emphasizing the importance of adapting management practices to accommodate cultural differences. This research provides actionable insights into fostering better employee performance and creating more inclusive workplaces. By aligning leadership and organizational policies with cultural values, businesses in Klang Valley can improve employee engagement and productivity, contributing to the region's competitiveness in a globalized economy. |
