This study investigates the factors influencing the intention to utilize the Electronic Payment System (EPS) in Malaysia. EPS enables users to make transactions electronically, offering a convenient alternative to traditional payment methods. This research aims to identify the key factors that affect consumers' decisions to adopt EPS and to understand their intentions towards using these systems in Malaysia. The findings will provide valuable insights for the payment card industry and financial institutions to enhance transaction volumes and values, ultimately contributing to Malaysia's Government vision of promoting a cashless society. Data were collected through an online questionnaire, targeting a sample of 400 respondents from Malaysia. The survey assessed the relationships between Perceived Usefulness, Ease of Use, Perceived Security and Trust, and Government Initiatives concerning the adoption of EPS. The data were analyzed using IBM SPSS, aiming to determine the significance of these factors in influencing consumers' intentions to adopt EPS. Given the limited research on EPS adoption in specific Malaysian contexts, this study addresses this gap. The results will lead to practical recommendations for enhancing EPS adoption and improving customer experiences, contributing to the broader understanding of electronic payment systems in Malaysia. |
