Abstract : UNIRAZAK Library
This study explores the relationship between workplace violence encompassing physical violence, verbal abuse, and psychological aggression and job satisfaction across various industries. The study, which surveyed 72 people, discovered a moderately negative relationship between job satisfaction and all forms of workplace violence, with verbal abuse having the biggest effect. While physical violence and psychological aggressiveness did not exhibit any significant direct impacts, verbal abuse was found to be a significant predictor of decreased job satisfaction using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation, and multiple regression analysis. The findings highlight the necessity for companies to give verbal abuse interventions top priority to boost worker wellbeing and morale. Implementing thorough programs to minimize workplace violence, improving leadership techniques, and regularly evaluating employee happiness and safety are among the recommendations. The study clearly admits its limitations, which limit the interpretation of causality. These limitations include the use of self-reported data and a cross-sectional methodology. To provide a more thorough understanding of workplace violence and its effects on employee well-being, future research should use longitudinal studies, incorporate a variety of industries and cultural contexts, and investigate other factors influencing job satisfaction, such as coping mechanisms and organizational policies.
