The quality of human capital plays an important role in determining the direction of civil servants in in addition to ensuring management efficiency. The productivity of an organization depends on quality of work performance. Utusan online newspaper clipping dated November 22, 2010 reported the amount civil servants with problems and low performance increased to 6,133 people in the year 2009 compared to 5,344 people in 2008. This study aims to examine the factors that affect an employee's work commitment to work performance. A total of 100 people staff from the Local Authority of the Majlis Daerah Putatan were made respondents. The research design is a descriptive study in the form of a survey which uses a questionnaire to collect data. The questionnaire is divided into five parts namely a) respondent information; b) culture; c) commitment; d) training and e) work performance. Data analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) Version 29.0 software to evaluate frequency, percentage, average, correlation test, t test and anova test. Result showing the level of work performance among civil servants is high and the interest factor is the main work commitment factor that affects it.
