Abstract : UNIRAZAK Library |
This research explores the influence of leadership styles, especially transformational and transactional leadership, on staff productivity in project management. It also delves into the mediating role of employee engagement, company culture and communication effectiveness in creating these outcomes. Data were obtained through surveys distributed to project managers and staff from various businesses, with regression analysis used to investigate the proposed hypotheses. The results show that both leadership styles increase productivity, whereas transformational leadership is more effective in dynamic conditions that drive creativity and innovation. Conversely, transactional leadership excels in organized settings that require clarity and rigorous adherence to established standards. Furthermore, staff involvement and communication effectiveness were found as major mediators, enhancing the association between leadership and productivity. These findings offer useful information for project managers in choosing a leadership style that fits the organizational context in order to optimize staff performance and project success. Future research should include industry-specific applications of leadership and evaluate the long-term effects of different leadership approaches. |
