Abstract : UNIRAZAK Library |
This research studies the influence of digital project management tools on the success of IT projects, emphasising project management software, communication platforms, and data analytics tools. This research, rooted in Systems Theory and Contingency Theory, examines the impact of these frameworks on critical project outcomes, including timetable accuracy, team collaboration, decision-making efficacy, and overall project success. A quantitative methodology was employed, gathering data from 210 project management professionals in Malaysia using an online questionnaire. The data were analysed with SPSS for descriptive statistics, factor analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis, proving the instruments' reliability and validity. The results demonstrate that all three instruments enhance project outcomes, with a model correlation (R) of 0.661 and an R² value of 0.436, indicating that 43.6% of the variance in project success is explained by the predictors. Project management software enhanced schedule precision and resource distribution, communication platforms improved team participation, and data analytics tools enabled superior decisionmaking, resulting in timely and budget-adherent project completion. The research underscores the combined advantages of incorporating several digital tools in project management. This research enhances the literature by offering empirical evidence about the efficacy of digital project management tools in IT projects and emphasises their significance in enhancing project outcomes. It also facilitates further exploration of the incorporation of sophisticated technology in project management techniques, providing significant insights for industry professionals. |
