This study investigates the impact of green building certification on project management practices in Malaysia’s construction industry, focusing on cost, time, quality, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability outcomes. While green projects require higher initial investments, they provide long-term cost savings and better financial control. Time management remains challenging due to lengthy certification processes, but early planning helps reduce delays and improve efficiency. Sustainable practices enhance quality management by promoting better material performance, durability, and higher construction standards. Stakeholder engagement also improves through transparent communication and collaboration, fostering trust among participants and ensuring better project alignment. Regression analysis identifies Quality Management (β = 0.451) as the strongest predictor of project impact, followed by Stakeholder Engagement and Cost Management, with Time Management playing a smaller role. The model explains 88.4% of the variance in project outcomes (R² = 0.884), although multicollinearity suggests some overlap among predictors. Correlation analysis shows strong positive relationships between key variables, particularly quality and stakeholder engagement, while reliability tests indicate high internal consistency, with Cronbach’s Alpha ranging from 0.849 to 0.918. Despite slight deviations from normality, parametric methods remain appropriate. These results highlight the value of green certifications in enhancing project outcomes by improving cost control, quality standards, stakeholder collaboration, and sustainability alignment. They emphasize the need for continuous investment in green practices to achieve both financial and environmental benefits, offering useful insights for policymakers and industry stakeholders aiming to promote sustainable construction practices. |
