This quantitative study investigates the impact of ageism on the adaptation and productivity of senior employees in Malaysian workplaces. Ageism, common in multigenerational workforces, restricts senior employees’ ability to adapt to workplace changes. This research examines how factors such as training programs, flexible work arrangements, health initiatives, and intergenerational collaboration influence senior employees’ productivity and engagement. Data were collected through structured surveys from employees across various industries. Statistical analysis, including regression and hypothesis testing, reveals that ageism significantly reduces both adaptation and productivity. However, age-inclusive practices, such as tailored training programs and flexible work policies, were shown to improve adaptability and well-being. Intergenerational collaboration also promotes knowledge transfer and reduces age-related biases, enhancing productivity. |
