This research focus on the case study related to the bridging generational gaps in the Tripoli's retail sectors. Several retail sectors will be selected to perform the case study, and the survey questions will be distributed to collect the data on how the difference generations can collaborate in order to close the gaps in retail business. The main aim of the study is to find out a common method and collaboration employed among the retail business handled by difference generations. Four generations are selected in this study. One is baby boomer, second is generation X, third is Millennials, and the last one is generation Z. It is believed that each generation use difference methods to handle the business. For instance, baby boomer used traditional method to handle the business and since these group of people already old, it is hard for them to accept the technology used in the business. On the other hand, generation X and Millennials are from analogue to digital transformation century. So, they are using digital and internet technology to handle the business. Since there are gaps among all the generations handle the business, it is interesting to know especially how the baby boomer can collaborate with other generations in the business. The research will use sample size of 440 to collect the data. The data is then analyzed statistically. ttest and regression methods will be employed to analyze the survey results, but the descriptive statistics will be employed to analyze the demographic results.
