This study aims to investigate the impact of integrated Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives on corporate financial performance within oil and gas industry in Malaysia which impact on various financial performance indicators, such as profitability, revenue growth and asset utlization. A quantitative research design was employed, using an online questionnaire to collect data from 400 respondents. The study examines the relationship between CSR practices, including internal and external CSR activities, stakeholder engagement and collaboration with employees and their impact on financial performance. Data were analyzed using multiple regression techniques to determine the significance of these relationship. The results indicate a positive correlation between the implementation of CSR initiaitves and corporate financial performance. Companies that engage in both internal and external CSR activities, actively involve stakeholder and faster employee collaboration demonstrate higher profitability, improved operational and contribute to long term financial growth and stability. The study is limited to the oil and gas industry in Malaysia and may not fully capture the variations of CSR impact in other industries. Future research could expand by incorporating different sectors and geographical regions. Longitudinal studies would provide deeper insights into the long term effects of CSR initiatives on financial performance. The findings of this study can assist policymakers in the oil & gas industry, formulating CSR strategies that not only align with corporate goals but also enhance financial performance. By integrating CSR into their core business operations, companies can mitigate risks, improve stakeholders relationship and ensure sustainability growth. This research contributes to the existing literature on CSR by providing empirical evidence of its positive impact on financial performance in the oil and gas industry in Malaysia and the importance of CSR as a strategic tool for enhancing corporate profitability. |
