The study titled “The Impact of Work-Related Stress on Job Performance Among Employees in Islamic Banks in Malaysia” explores how various stress factors, including workload, job insecurity, role ambiguity, time pressure, and interpersonal conflicts, influence job performance. Using a quantitative research methodology, data were collected through surveys administered to employees in Islamic banks across Malaysia. The research employed descriptive and inferential statistical analysis to examine the correlations between the identified stressors and job performance, offering a comprehensive understanding of the dynamics of work-related stress in the Islamic banking sector. Main findings suggested that workload and time pressure were the most important factors causing stress and affecting employee performance, while job insecurity and role ambiguity had a lesser impact. This study recommends that Islamic banks should develop stress management measures such as redistribution of workload and providing psychological support in order to improve job effectiveness and a greater mental health working environment. In addition, the research also extends the body of knowledge on occupational stress by providing insights from the unique context of Islamic banking and offers recommendations for policymakers and practitioners aimed at enhancing employee well-being and performance in financial sectors. |
